PRIVACY POLICY

This policy explains what information COVI collects when you visit gocovi.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies only to this website — not to the IT services we deliver to clients under a separate Master Services Agreement, and not to our client portal, which is governed by its own terms.
Who we are
COVI is an Indianapolis-based managed IT, cybersecurity, and strategic consulting firm. You can reach us at hello@gocovi.com or 317 669 9271.
Information we collect
We collect only what you give us, plus basic technical information your browser sends automatically. Specifically:
- Contact information you submit. When you use the embedded contact form on our contact page, fill out the Free IT Self-Audit form, or email us directly, you may provide your name, email address, phone number, company, and anything else you choose to write to us.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data (IP address, browser user-agent, referring page, timestamp) for security and reliability purposes.
- Cookies and similar storage. See "Cookies" below.
We do not run user accounts, comments, or e-commerce on this website. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
How we use it
We use the information you submit to respond to your inquiry, schedule meetings, deliver the Self-Audit report you requested, and follow up about COVI's services. If you become a client, we may continue to communicate with you about your account.
We use server logs and cookie data to keep the site running, troubleshoot problems, prevent abuse, and understand which pages people find useful.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising profiles, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Cookies
This site uses a small number of cookies:
- Strictly necessary browser storage used by the embedded contact form and its spam protection to process your submission.
- Analytics cookies if we have analytics enabled (for example, to count page views in aggregate). These do not identify you personally.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some site features, including the embedded contact form, may not work if cookies are blocked.
Third-party services
We rely on a few services to operate this site. Each handles your data under its own privacy practices:
- Our hosting provider serves the website and records server logs as described above.
- Our embedded tools send contact-form and Self-Audit submissions to our internal automation systems so we can respond to your inquiry or prepare the report you requested.
We share information with these vendors only as needed to provide the services you've asked for. We do not authorize them to use your information for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
We retain contact and inquiry information for as long as it's useful to maintain the relationship — typically the lifetime of our discussions plus a reasonable follow-up window. If you ask us to delete your information, we will, except where we need to keep it for legal, accounting, or security reasons.
Server logs are retained for a short window (typically 30 to 90 days) and then discarded.
Your choices
You can:
- Ask us what personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or delete it.
- Opt out of follow-up communications at any time by replying to any message from us or emailing hello@gocovi.com.
- Control cookies through your browser.
We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold — encryption in transit, access controls, vendor due diligence, and staff training. No system is perfectly secure, but if we ever learn of a breach that affects you, we will notify you in line with applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the page itself.
